MIKAYLA & NOAH | COUPLES SESSION
An Early Fall Couples Session at Sky Meadows State Park in Northern Virginia
Not every beautiful session comes with golden sunlight, and Mikayla and Noah's couples session at Sky Meadows State Park was the perfect reminder of that.
It was one of those rainy, foggy early fall days in Northern Virginia. The kind where the sky stays gray, the landscape disappears into the mist, and everything feels a little quieter. The leaves hadn't quite begun to change, leaving the rolling hills and open fields covered in soft greens.
And honestly, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful atmosphere.
The overcast skies created soft, even light, while the fog added a dreamy, almost cinematic quality to the landscape. Everything felt a little moodier, a little more intimate, and beautifully imperfect.
Rather than waiting for the perfect weather, we embraced what the day gave us. The result was a collection of photographs that felt natural, romantic, and full of atmosphere.
It's sessions like these that remind me why I love documenting couples outdoors. Sometimes the most unexpected conditions create the most memorable photographs.
Couples Photography at Sky Meadows State Park
Located in Delaplane, Virginia, Sky Meadows State Park is one of my favorite kinds of locations for couples photography. Its rolling hills, wide-open landscapes, and beautiful countryside offer so much room to create.
Whether it's a sunny summer evening or a foggy fall afternoon, there's something special about letting the landscape become part of the story.
For Mikayla and Noah, those quiet, misty surroundings were exactly what made their photographs feel so timeless.
