Northern Virginia is home, and where I photograph most often. From Leesburg, Middleburg, Purcellville, Ashburn, and the rest of Loudoun County to Great Falls, McLean, Vienna, Reston, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria, and everywhere in between, there’s no shortage of places around here worth remembering. Weddings, engagements, proposals, portraits, or just a good excuse to make photographs somewhere that feels like you.
Head west and things start to open up. The Shenandoah Valley gives us mountain views, open fields, historic towns, winding roads, and the kind of evening light that makes staying out a little later worth it. I photograph weddings, engagements, proposals, and portraits throughout Winchester, Front Royal, Luray, Harrisonburg, Staunton, and the surrounding valley.

02 SHENANDOAH VALLEY
For when the place is part of the story. From Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains and farther south toward Roanoke, this part of Virginia gives us overlooks, forests, trails, mountain towns, and plenty of room to wander. Perfect for wedding days with a view, proposals somewhere unforgettable, or sessions that deserve a little more scenery.

Rolling countryside, vineyards, old estates, gardens, and historic streets make Central Virginia feel like it has a little bit of everything. I photograph weddings, engagements, proposals, and portraits throughout Charlottesville, Crozet, Fredericksburg, Virginia wine country, and the surrounding areas, whether we’re gathering everyone you love or disappearing somewhere quiet for an hour.
05 RICHMOND

Richmond gives us a completely different side of Virginia. Historic architecture, downtown streets, gardens, riverfronts, industrial spaces, and neighborhoods with actual personality mean we don’t have to look very far for somewhere interesting. Whether it’s a full wedding day or an afternoon portrait or engagement session, there’s plenty here to work with.
Keep heading east and eventually Virginia runs into the ocean. From Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake to Williamsburg, Yorktown, Hampton, and the surrounding coast, this side of the state brings waterfront celebrations, historic streets, sandy feet, windblown hair, and a little salt in the air. Weddings, engagements, proposals, and portraits are all welcome out here.
